FYI, twenty people came to my site yesterday after searching some variation of “heart-shaped meatloaf.” Twenty! And you know how many of them were inspired by my post to buy a book (or two)? Uh — yeah, none.

Oh, La Jolla — what a beautiful, beautiful place! I was there with friends a few years back (in November, when it was so lovely and completely unlike the East Coast) and fell in love.

We swung by Torrey Pines and asked the cashier about cool places to go as we bought golf balls and took pictures at the store. As we were just passing through and looking for cool places to see, I put on my best East Coast flirty face and said, “So, is La Joe-La nice?”

Yeah, he definitely laughed in my face. But I deserved it.

Hah! Because I had no friends suffering from plantar faciitis when mine developed, I ended up doing all the wrong stuff. Result: mine lasted for a whole year. I was considering amputation or lobotomy, because even orthotics weren’t enough.

Finally beat it, though, and without any of the above extremes.

Obviously, I need to find more afflicted friends so I can get the low-down faster.

Funny post, Carol. I wish I had found your blog earlier.

OMG Just Like Me Only Better was the best book in the world I tried to stop reading it but then stood up the whole night turning pages the end was a real SHOCKER if you haven’t read this book you totally have to!
